Assigning Roles & Permissions

During the creation of a new user, the user has to be assigned a role, of which there are three pre-defined roles to choose from.

  • Supervisor: Users within the group Supervisor has access to every end-user facing functionality, such as managing users, assignments, colours and instruments. It is recommended to keep the number of employees in this group controlled (i.e. not everyone should be a Supervisor), but it is also recommended that more than one person in the organization is part of the group for backup purposes.
  • Administrator: Administrators have less access than Supervisors, and can manage projects, assignments and colour standards. Administrators cannot manage other users nor permissions.
  • User: Users have the least privilege in the system and can download standards and upload measurements against standards. They can also review reports.
