Creating a Colour Standard
Before uploading the spectral data for a colour standard, a colour has to be created, or an existing colour has to be selected.
- Click on “Colour Standards” in the main menu
- Click on “+ Standard(s) in the top-right corner
- Select one or more files for upload and click “Next”
- Select which measurements to include in the upload with the checkbox to the left of each measurement
- You can select/deselect all by clicking on the “Select/Deselect all” button in the top right corner
- Give the colour standards a name, a colour and and gloss information
- You can select an existing colour or create a new one
- In "Bulk actions" it is possible to apply colour and gloss information for all colour standards in your file.
- Optional: Give the colour standard a description and material
- Click on “Next”
- Review the selection of standards to upload and click “Save”
- After the upload has been completed, click on “Finish”
If an imported colour standard has tolerances in your file, they will be imported into CAPQ and applied as a local tolerance set, for only that colour standard. If an imported colour standard has no tolerances in your file, the colour standard will be imported into CAPQ and get the "default" global tolerance set.
Note: Only measurements made in an instrument with an active profile can be uploaded as a colour standard. In case measurements made in an instrument that does not have an active profile in CAPQ are uploaded, it will not be possible to proceed to the next step. See the section on Connecting an instrument in this case.
