Introduction to Colour Standards
Together with instruments, colours and colour standards form the basic building blocks of CAPQ. A colour standard also has a colour, which does not itself hold any spectral data and can hold many colour standards. An example of a colour can be “Latte Brown”, while a colour standard would represent that colour as measured on a piece of coated paper “Latte Brown (Coated Paper)”.
Under the menu Colour standards you can see all your colour standards. In the list of colour standards you can see all your colour standards and search for specific ones. The button "Filters" give you the possibility to search for tags (type the tag name, press enter), colours and to see inactive colour standards.
The colour standards distributed to your CAPQ company in assignments are not included in your list of colour standards.
Click on one colour standard in the list to see additional information. A colour standard always has the information on when it was created, in what instrument and with the settings used for the measurement. This traceability information always follows with the colour standard, even when shared in assignments inside and outside the organisation. In separate tabs you find the tolerances, gloss, what assignments it is included in and the reflectance curve.
A colour standard can be given tags, where user defined tags can be given, such as customers or other usage. Type the name of your tag and press enter.
