Measuring the Connection Set
Once you receive the connection set, you will need to configure your instrument to measure twice and take the average between a reading measuring 0° and one measuring the sample with 90° rotation, as per the illustration below. Before the samples are measured, the instrument should be calibrated as per the instrument guidelines. The settings chosen for the instrument need to match the settings that were chosen when your administrator prepared the connection.
The measurements should be named A1, A2, A3, etc. Once all samples have been measured, the instrument must be calibrated once more, and the samples measured a second time in the same fashion. These measurements should be named B1, B2, B3, etc.
The A and B measurements should then be exported as two separate files, for example into QTX or CxF (depending on instrument and instrument software) and uploaded into CAPQ for profiling.
Note: Some instrument software can export multiple file formats, some containing job-specific data in proprietary formats. Please consult your instrument software documentation if you are unsure on how to export the raw spectral data with the relevant data.
